The Coincidental Critic

Exploring the art of storytelling.

Finally, “New Girl” has a new opening sequence.  It’s about three years late, but at least they added the rest of the characters: Cece and Coach.  They deserve to be in the title sequence just as much as the rest of the crew, especially Cece who has been an important character on the show since season one.

“Background Check” was highly amusing.  It was entertaining to watch all the characters run around like chickens with their heads cut off.  There was so much chaos, and all the characters acted crazy once panic mode set in.  This brought out some of the most humorous dialogue and character interactions we’ve seen so far on this show.  We watched as Nick struggled to keep a lie, and Jess freaked out thinking that she was on meth.  “Background Check” was a great episode of “New Girl.”  I have been very impressed with season four thus far.
