Sprang Break, Part 1 (Why Sprang?) (SPOILERS)

My favorite part of “Sprang Break, Part 1” was when Jenna found out she got into college.  Jenna and her mother had just been pulled over by the Mexican cops when Jenna decided to check her email.  As Lacey was attempting to flirt her way out of a ticket, Jenna screamed bloody murder.  She got in!  Jenna had the perfect reaction.  Jenna is quiet and not usually one to outwardly fangirl, so that made the scene extra funny.  This was a great way to start the episode, and finally, we know about Jenna’s future.

My favorite scene in “Sprang Break, Part 1” was when everyone was standing around the kitchen island after Matty and Gabby had just returned from meeting Matty’s biological father.  Lacey knew that Jenna was originally supposed to go with Matty.  During this scene, she kept her eyes on her daughter, looking concerned.  She and Jenna communicated with one another just using eye contact, illustrating how close they are.  It was refreshing to see Lacey look out for her daughter and added sentiment to the scene.
