Exploring the art of storytelling.

Jenna in Wonderland (SPOILERS)

What I love about “Awkward” is how truthful it can be.  In “Jenna in Wonderland,” we learned that the lifestyle the popular girls flaunt is completely fake.  They take all these pictures trying to prove how much fun they’re having, and it’s all a lie.  Wonderland is fantasy.  I appreciated this storyline because it proved that no one has the perfect life.  It was simple, but powerful.

Jabby is officially a thing, and they’re out in public.  I definitely expected to see more backlash from the other characters.

Towards the end of “Jenna in Wonderland,” Matty got a phone call from a friend.  “It’s always nice to hear from you,” he said.  The director cut to another scene before we were able to see who it was Matty was speaking to.  Immediately, I was curious.  I will admit, I was a bit disappointed to find out it was Kyle, but it was definitely unexpected.
