Exploring the art of storytelling.

Floating 50 (SPOILERS)

The-Middle-Key-Art-768x1024

“Floating 50” was a great episode of “The Middle.”  It made me laugh, but it also made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.  For the Heck family, it was a very sentimental episode.  The men of the family came together to throw a surprise party for Frankie.  It was far from perfect, but illustrated that they really do care about her.

This episode was perfectly timed.  It aired the Wednesday before a huge blizzard hit the east coast.  In the episode, Frankie got trapped at Sue’s campus because of a winter storm.  It was like a warning about the impending blizzard.  Maybe the writers have a sixth sense…

Axl is never at school anymore.  The reason I’ve noticed this is because for the past few episodes, Sue’s storylines have taken place at college.  It appears that Axl is still living at home.  It’s just curious that there hasn’t even been one scene of Axl at college.
