The Coincidental Critic

Exploring the art of storytelling.

If You Can’t Stand the Heat…

The best line from “Heat Wave” was when Schmidt said, “Finally we can stop looking like the people in a beer commercial before the beer shows up.”  It was such an accurate observation.  Everyone always looks sweaty and parched until the beer arrives, but beer only dehydrates you more.  The irony of it!  This was an interesting commentary making fun of society.

I totally forgot that Cece had decided to go back to school.  I was so excited when this storyline started last season, but obviously, the writers haven’t been keeping up with it.  At least we now know that she’s making progress and has career aspirations.  I really hope this is explored more in the future.  Will Cece ever get her dream job?

Reagan is really starting to fit into the group.  Can she just stay even when Jess returns?
