The Coincidental Critic

Exploring the art of storytelling.

Fireworks (SPOILERS)

Jenna and Matty made up quicker than I expected.  At the start of season 5b, they hated each other, but it only took five episodes for them to become best friends again.  It seemed too sudden of a shift, especially since they were so rude to each other in “I’m the Kind of Girl Who Found Her Voice in College.”

Jenna and Matty’s relationship wasn’t the only one changing too fast.  I also wasn’t expecting Sergio and Sadie to make up so quickly.  I don’t think they’re officially back together, but it definitely didn’t take long.  I expected it to be more of a struggle for Sadie since Sergio was in a relationship at the start of season 5b.

Kyle is back!  He made an appearance in “Fireworks,” and it looks like he and Matty’s friendship is stronger than ever.  I kind of forgot about Kyle, but I’m glad the writers didn’t.  I wonder if he’ll have a bigger role moving forward.
