The Coincidental Critic

Exploring the art of storytelling.

Guerillas (SPOILERS)

UnReal-season-2-poster-Lifetime-key-art

So much happened in this episode of UnREAL.  Chet attempted to produce his own wild version of the show.  Quinn sat back in the producer’s chair.  Brandi attacked Chantal, ended up in solitary confinement, and then got booted off the show.  Activist Ruby realized that she is starting to develop feelings for Darius.  Rachel and Coleman started to develop a bit of a romance.  Chet fought for custody of his son.  Coleman received recognition from Gary that Quinn deserved.  Quinn found out that Rachel betrayed her.  Rachel discovered that Darius may have a serious injury.  How do the writers cram so much drama into one hour?  It’s absolutely brilliant!

UnREAL just keeps getting darker and darker.  The move that Quinn pulled on Brandi was beyond cruel.  How can she even get away with ruining someone’s life like that?  I can’t even imagine how much darker this season will get.

In “Guerilla,” we learned a bit about Quinn’s past, which had always been a mystery to us.  Why is Quinn the way that she is?  We found out that Quinn had a rough upbringing and that her father was an alcoholic.  I hope we dive deeper into her past this season…
